Do you know the native processes of Odoo?

If you are going to quote the implementation services of Odoo, this is worth reading.

First Question

Client: I have seen videos of Odoo and I would like to implement it in my company.

As of the date of this post, Odoo has approximately more than 28 million users!!!, worldwide and if we do a quick calculation you can divide those 28 million by 100 employees per company, and you would have 280,000 companies that are using Odoo at the core of their business. But maybe that fact doesn't catch your attention, and what if I told you that behind those companies there are Partners in each country that help you implement Odoo, and even more, there is also a Community of people (more than 20,000 people worldwide) that actively provide support for software improvements. So which Partner to choose, which freelancer can I go with? The answer can be complex.

If you have seen videos of Odoo, make sure they were from YouTube and from the official Odoo channels, I believe this is the first step that can guide you if the native aspect of Odoo can be adapted to your company, they also have channels in Spanish. This is important because you will be able to clarify your doubts, see the potential of Odoo, and if you are only looking to digitize a process like CRM, or purchases by watching the videos you can understand how the implementation process works.

And if you want to save time, without watching the official videos and understanding what Odoo is and hiring implementation services, contact us.

Second Question

Client: Why do it with a Partner and not directly with Odoo?

First, you need to understand how one becomes an Official Odoo Partner, you have to pass 10 years, 40 exams, and an interview in French, and then you get your Official Partner certificate... just kidding. To be a Partner, you have to pay a Partnership subscription (Ready or Learning), it's that simple to be a Partner and you can see the requirements here.

Then, from that and along the way, they can receive training from Odoo consultants themselves, that's the good thing about being a Partner, you have the actual documentation to start implementations, but let's be honest, this is not enough for a proper implementation, you must validate the Partner's experience, references, success cases, etc. Remember that you are making an investment for the next 10 to 20 years.

Once those characteristics and others are validated, a Partner understands the tax reality of your country, and this is key because often Odoo consultants are not aware of those details, so you would have to explain every detail, every impact, etc.; therefore, you may require more hours than usual to implement it.

One of the benefits of implementing it with Odoo, depending on the complexity of your processes, is that the hour packages can be more economical.

Third Question

Client: I just need to keep track of my sales, my product stock, and maybe issue my invoices, but we currently do it through a separate system. Why can it be expensive to only implement those processes?

This question is quite common in small businesses, but the reality is that you can't build a house without the blueprints. Digitalizing a process involves understanding the process, and above all, building the foundations for possible subsequent processes, that's what is really charged in an implementation, there's also a common phrase, it's that you don't pay the mechanic for tightening a screw, you pay him for knowing where to tighten.
